Hello there! I'm learning to use HTML to build a site!
My name is Rhea, and this is my site! In elementary and middle school, I used to spend hours on Blogspot and Weebly and everything of the sort, reading as many personal blogs and websites as I could get my hands on. I also dabbled in extremely basic web dev on Tumblr (read: copying and pasting HTML chunks to modify my theme). Recently, I've been reading a lot of articles about the return of the personal website (like this one); with social media becoming increasingly commercialized, we are commercializing ourselves on it. In short, I really missed the transparency and vulnerability of personal sites. I also noticed I was spending a ridiculous amount of time on social media without actually taking in anything I was seeing.
I imagined this space as a sort of virtual living room that people could come by and learn about me. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to have on here; it'll probably be one part respository of all the things I want to say into the void, one part things I didn't want to post on my social media, and one part things I want to discuss with other people (with probably more parts to come). This is also a challenge to myself to learn HTML/CSS. Despite my dad having bugged me for years to learn Python, I'm a complete novice at any sort of programming. This website is a continuous work in progress, so please be patient with me! Stay as long as you like; I hope you like it here :)
